Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and analyze federal, provincial, and industry regulatory developments impacting automotive operations.
  • Research, interpret, and summarize existing and proposed legislation relating to vehicle safety, emissions, certification, and environmental compliance.
  • Support the development of regulatory strategies and technical submissions related to future legislation.
  • Participate in automotive trade association committees and coordinate regulatory feedback with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist in evaluating regulatory impacts on current and future vehicle programs.
  • Prepare compliance reports and submissions for federal and provincial government agencies.
  • Support strategic presentations and regulatory briefings for leadership teams.
  • Collaborate with legal, certification, engineering, product quality, and development teams to assess regulatory impacts.
  • Analyze future compliance trends and projections to support business planning initiatives.
  • Coordinate activities related to vehicle certification, recalls, campaigns, safety defect reporting, and technical compliance projects.
  • Partner with Marketing, Finance, Logistics, Sales Operations, Customs, Legal, Product Quality, and Compliance teams to ensure successful implementation of new regulations.
