Production/ Machine Operator

Production/Machine Operative Location: Newport , NP20 2NS Pay Rate: £13.30 per hour (£27,655.00 pa) - Weekly Paid Hours: 40 hours per week Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm (30-minute unpaid break) About the Role We are currently recruiting for a Production Operative to join a busy manufacturing environment. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a well-established business, operating specialist machinery and contributing to the production of high-quality steel products. Key Responsibilities Operating bending machinery in a safe and efficient manner Setting up and monitoring machinery to ensure production targets are achieved Working with steel products and materials in a manufacturing environment Conducting quality checks to ensure products meet required specifications Reading and following production instructions and technical drawings where required Carrying out basic machine adjustments and reporting faults when necessary Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work area Adhering to all health and safety procedures and company policies What We're Looking For Previous experience within a manufacturing, engineering or steel environment is required Experience operating machinery Good attention to detail and quality standards Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment Reliable, hardworking and committed to maintaining excellent attendance Strong awareness of health and safety practices What's in it for You? £13.30 per hour 40 hours per week Monday to Friday working pattern - Overtime available No weekend working Opportunity to develop machinery operating skills Stable, long-term employment opportunity Supportive team environment If you're looking for a hands-on role within a manufacturing environment and have experience operating machinery, we'd love to hear from you.
