Part Time Senior Sheltered Scheme Manager (temp: Dorset)

About the company

A fantastic opportunity has emerged for a Senior Sheltered Scheme Manager to join one of Adecco's most improved public sector clients in a temporary position, initially for three months.

Your tasks

As the Senior Scheme Manager, the role is primarily to ensure a high quality management service, ensuring the highest standard of service to tenants is provided in line with regulatory and contractual requirements, and relevant internal policies and procedures.

You will

• Ensure the delivery of an excellent and consistent on-site intensive housing management service that meets the needs of tenants.
• Be responsible for the day to day scheme managers, temporary/agency staff and contractors when on site ensuring maintenance, security and communal safety are optimised.
• Lead regular liaison with the local authority and external agencies to ensure specialist services are in place, where required.
• Have relevant social housing experience (preferably you will be an experienced housing manager with a Sheltered Housing/Independent Living service improvement background), be highly organised, with excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and the ability to prioritise tasks appropriately.
• Have a positive outlook and be able to adjust to variations in workload, ensure targets are completed, be self-motivated and be comfortable working in a team and managing staff.
• Support the Scheme Manager to review and improve services across the scheme and potentially the wider portfolio
• Assist with developing the on-site community
• Ensure on-site staff operate in accordance with best practice, maintaining professionalism and impartiality at all times.

This is a part time role (2-3 days each week), and our client has a scheme that needs overseeing in Christchurch, Dorset. They are now looking to recruit a Senior Scheme Manager to manage a small team of Scheme Managers.

Please note, a car driver/owner is not required for this role but due to our client's geographical area it may be challenging if you do not have your own vehicle.
