Competitive pay rate of £13.90 per hour Monday to Friday working pattern Fixed day shift: 07:00 - 15:00 Long-term opportunity with a 6-month rolling contract Modern manufacturing facility Supportive and experienced team Training provided on company-specific processes Opportunity to work with advanced engineering components The Role As a Manufacturing Finishing Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring components meet customer specifications and quality standards before they are dispatched. Working as part of the production team, you will carry out a variety of finishing and post-production processes using hand and power tools. Your responsibilities will include: Grinding, deburring, fettling, sanding, polishing and finishing components Removing excess material and surface imperfections Operating hand tools and pneumatic equipment safely and effectively Using grinders, die grinders, sanders and burr tools Carrying out visual quality inspections Reading and working from engineering drawings and specifications where required Identifying and reporting quality issues Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment Supporting production targets while maintaining excellent quality standards Following all Health & Safety and PPE requirements What We're Looking For We're keen to speak with candidates who have experience in any of the following: Manufacturing Engineering Fabrication Foundry or casting environments Automotive production Metal finishing Machining General production or assembly work You will ideally have: Experience using hand tools, power tools, or pneumatic tools Good practical and mechanical skills Strong attention to detail A quality-focused approach The ability to work independently and as part of a team A positive attitude and strong work ethic A commitment to safe working practices Experience With Any Of The Following Is Beneficial Grinding Fettling Deburring Polishing Sanding Blasting Metal finishing Castings Precision-engineered components Engineering drawings Quality inspection processes Don't worry if you don't tick every box.
