General Accountant - Santa Fe

About the company

We are looking for a General Accountant to join the finance team of a major international company in the telecommunications sector. You will be responsible for supervising the company's comprehensive accounting process in Mexico, ensuring timely monthly closings, reconciliations, preparation of financial statements, and compliance with accounting and tax obligations, as well as the correct coordination of the Finance team.

Your tasks

Main responsibilities

• Supervise general accounting and the monthly closing process.
• Prepare and review financial statements under Mexican Normas de Información Financiera (NIF).
• Perform bank, intercompany, tax, and balance sheet account reconciliations.
• Coordinate and supervise Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) activities.
• Review the correct accounting application of issued and received CFDIs.
• Review provisions, taxes, inventories, costs, fixed assets, and depreciations.
• Follow up on accounting and tax information for declarations and compliance with obligations before the corresponding authorities.
• Supervise financial controls and prepare reports for corporate offices.
• Follow up on intercompany operations with related entities in China.
• Ensure compliance with the financial calendar and monthly closing processes.

Requirements

• Completed Bachelor's degree in Accounting and/or Finance.
• English B2 – C1
• 4 years of experience in general accounting and monthly closing processes.
• Verifiable experience in: Preparation and analysis of financial statements, Tax processes in Mexico, and CFDI operations.
• Solid knowledge of Mexican NIF, especially topics related to revenue, inventories, taxes, fixed assets, inflation, and intercompany operations.
• Knowledge of ISR, IVA, CFF, DIOT, IMSS, INFONAVIT, among other tax concepts.
• Proficiency in CONTPAQi Contabilidad and/or CONTPAQi Bancos, or a similar accounting ERP.
• Advanced Excel.
