Adecco are pleased to be recruiting for a Diary Manager and Personal Assistant to PCC to work within the Avon & Somerset Police Force Our client, a respected organisation in the public services sector, is seeking a dedicated and proactive Diary Manager and Personal Assistant to support the Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) in their essential work. Contract Type: Temporary Location: Portishead Hourly Rate: £15.72 - £19.19 per hour Working Pattern: Full Time, Monday to Friday 37 hours per week, blended working End Date: April 2027 Key Responsibilities: Efficiently manage the PCC's diary, arranging meetings across the Force area while liaising with stakeholders, partners, and business organisations. Prioritise the PCC's time to support strategic objectives, working closely with the Secretariat Manager. Coordinate the PCC's programme of visits, including travel arrangements and detailed itineraries. Provide comprehensive personal assistance and secretarial support to the PCC. Act as the initial point of contact for various stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and prioritisation of the PCC's time. Manage the PCC's email inbox, ensuring prompt responses to urgent emails and appropriate follow-ups. Maintain efficient filing and information systems, ensuring timely correspondence and actions are addressed. Ideal Candidate Profile: The ideal candidate will possess: Proven experience as a Personal Assistant, particularly in diary management (Essential). Strong organisational skills with the ability to handle a diverse portfolio of work and competing deadlines (Essential). Excellent written and verbal communication skills, coupled with a strong understanding of confidentiality (Essential). Competency in ICT and familiarity with various IT packages, including word processing and spreadsheets (Essential). A track record of effectively managing stakeholder relationships and fostering trust (Essential). A proactive approach to problem-solving and risk management (Essential).
