Design release engineer
We are seeking a Design & Release Engineer with experience in mechanical design, manufacturing processes, and automotive product development. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting the design, validation, release, and launch of metal components, ensuring compliance with engineering, quality, and manufacturing requirements. This role requires hands-on experience with APQP activities, product validation, engineering changes, and cross-functional collaboration throughout the product development cycle.
Qualifications
- Strong background in mechanical design and automotive product development.
- Experience with APQP, product validation, and quality planning activities.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and design for manufacturability principles.
- Experience supporting component development from design through production launch.
- Ability to perform engineering drawing reviews and support design changes.
- Exposure to DVP&R, DRBFM, DFMEA, and root cause analysis methodologies.
- Experience working in cross-functional environments with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and suppliers.
- Previous experience within the automotive industry, preferably supporting powertrain, engine, bracket, mount, or other metal component programs.
- Advanced English.
