Credit Controller FTC 6 months

Credit Controller Stafford | £30,000 | 6 Month Fixed-Term Contract Are you an experienced Credit Controller who enjoys building relationships, resolving queries and driving cash collection? We are recruiting for a hands-on Credit Controller to join a busy finance team on a 6-month fixed-term contract. Key Responsibilities Proactively chase outstanding debt via telephone and email Manage and prioritise aged debt across multiple customer accounts Build strong working relationships with customers and internal teams Investigate and resolve invoice queries, disputes and payment issues Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies Allocate cash receipts and obtain remittance advice Maintain accurate collection notes and payment commitments Escalate overdue balances and unresolved issues when required Support the management of complex and historic debt balances About You Previous experience within Credit Control or Accounts Receivable Proven track record of reducing aged debt and improving cash collection Confident communicating with customers over the phone Strong reconciliation and account investigation skills Excellent organisation and attention to detail Proactive, persistent and able to manage your own workload Good Excel skills Package Salary: £30,000 per annum (pro rata) 6 Month Fixed-Term Contract Monday to Thursday: 7:30am - 4:30pm Friday: 7:30am - 3:30pm 20 days holiday plus bank holidays (pro rata) Company pension scheme Fully office-based role Potential opportunity for the role to become permanent for the right person, subject to business requirements
