Part-Time | Permanent £15K - 17K (Pro Rata) Evening and Weekend Working Pattern

We are partnering with a well-established community-focused organisation to recruit a Centre Reception Coordinator to support the smooth running of a busy multi-use centre.

The Opportunity

As a key member of the operations team, you will play an important role in ensuring facilities run efficiently, safely and professionally. Acting as the main point of contact during your shift, you'll oversee day-to-day building operations, support visitors, coordinate room bookings and help create a welcoming environment for all centre users.

This is a varied position requiring strong organisation skills, excellent customer service and the ability to work independently while managing competing priorities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the first point of contact for visitors, customers and external partners.
  • Support the day-to-day operation of a busy community facility during evening and weekend hours.
  • Coordinate room usage, bookings and facility schedules.
  • Carry out routine operational and safety checks across the premises.
  • Ensure communal areas remain well-presented, safe and ready for use.
  • Monitor building supplies and arrange replenishment when required.
  • Assist with facilities administration, record keeping and compliance documentation.
  • Liaise with contractors and report maintenance issues as they arise.
  • Respond appropriately to incidents, emergencies and welfare concerns.
  • Support the promotion and smooth delivery of services operating from the centre.
  • Maintain accurate records and follow organisational procedures relating to health, safety and safeguarding.

About You

  • Previous experience in facilities, front-of-house, reception, operations or community-based environments.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Confidence working independently and making decisions when required.
  • Good IT and administrative skills.
  • Experience coordinating multiple tasks in a busy environment.
  • Knowledge of health and safety procedures or a willingness to learn.
  • A calm, professional approach when dealing with unexpected situations.
