Senior Buyer for major client in Göteborg

About the position

As a Senior Buyer within Logistics Procurement, you will play a key role within the procurement organization with responsibility for the strategic procurement of logistics services. You will be responsible for sourcing and supplier management within international transport and logistics solutions, as well as working closely with the business to ensure efficient and sustainable flows.

In this role, you will work to develop and secure a competitive supplier base that contributes to the right balance between cost, quality, innovation, and sustainability. Here, you are offered opportunities to influence the logistics solutions of the future in a global and dynamic environment.

In your role as a buyer, your main tasks will include:

Lead and drive strategic sourcing projects and negotiations within the logistics category Develop and implement category and supplier strategies in line with business goals Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders Conduct market analyses and identify opportunities for cost savings, innovation, and sustainability improvements Negotiate, establish, and manage supplier agreements and contracts Work cross-functionally with logistics, production, and procurement teams to ensure efficient supply chains Monitor supplier performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives

The position is a full-time consultancy assignment starting on September 21, 2026, and running until September 20, 2027.

About you

We are looking for someone who has solid experience in strategic procurement, supply chain, or logistics services and who thrives in a global business environment. We would prefer that you have a university degree in a relevant field, such as procurement, logistics, economics, or equivalent. You have documented experience in driving complex projects and negotiations, as well as a good understanding of commercial issues and supplier management. Experience with international supplier relations is a prerequisite for success in the role.

You are analytical and data-driven in your way of working and have the ability to transform complex information into well-founded recommendations and decisions. Furthermore, you are structured, business-oriented, and find it easy to collaborate with different functions. You communicate fluently in English, both orally and in writing, and have good knowledge of Microsoft Office. Experience with Coupa or similar procurement systems is a merit.

Several years of experience in strategic procurement, logistics, or supply chain Strong project management skills and experience in driving complex sourcing projects Good analytical ability and experience with data-based decisions Experience in international business and supplier negotiations Fluent English in speech and writing Good knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite
