Student Counsellor / Student Support Officer (Contract /West/ Govt)

Opportunities

Meaningful role supporting and mentoring students who require additional guidance and intervention. Gain hands-on experience in counselling, case management, youth engagement and student development. Contract: 2 months + (looking to start asap till mid Nov) Location: West Salary: up to $3200

Job Scope

• Provide one-on-one mentoring and befriending support to students requiring additional care and supervision.
• Conduct case management, including fact-finding, student and parent engagement, progress tracking and follow-ups.
• Maintain accurate case documentation and reports.
• Plan and conduct motivational talks and activities to build resilience and confidence among students.

Requirements

• Minimum Diploma in Counselling, Psychology, Social Work, Education or related disciplines.
• Prior experience working in a school environment, youth work, student support or social services will be advantageous.
• Passionate about working with youths and supporting their personal development.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and stakeholder management skills.
