Opportunity to work in R&D organisation Seeking for Research Engineer Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 6pm Nearest MRT: One North 12 month contract (renewable/convertible) Completion Bonus + 1 month Variable Bonus
The Talent
- Bachelor/Master in Physics, Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Mechatronic, Microelectronics or industrial
- Experience in optical instrument design, prototyping and development
- Proficient in programming skills (python) for data analysis and experiment control
- Interest in solid-state spin sensing techniques
- Excellent with optical simulation and design principles
- Hands-on knowledge of optical components
- Understanding of optical spectroscopy and microscopy applications
The Job
- Understand to connect tiny magnetic spin in solid materials with ultra-sensitive mechanical devices
- Creating new tools for measuring and controlling physical processes with extraordinary accuracy
- Designing and build optical microscopy system
- Conduct analysis of the system performance and tolerances
- Conduct system design, automate system operation
- Evaluate new use cases and develop system design requirements
