Non-Destructive Testing Controller / Controller (M/F) in Mechanics

I am currently supporting a leading industrial player in the aeronautics sector in the recruitment of its future Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Manager Level 3. The position is based in Saint-Nazaire, within a production site recognized for its expertise in the manufacturing of high-tech aeronautical components intended for the most advanced civil engine programs on the market.
Your mission. Reporting to the Quality Department, you are the site's NDT technical referent and guarantee the compliance of non-destructive testing processes in a demanding, certified, and highly regulated environment. As such, your main responsibilities are as follows:
- Ensure the compliance of NDT activities with the regulatory, normative, and customer requirements of the aeronautics sector.
- Write, validate, and evolve procedures and instructions relating to non-destructive testing processes, particularly in radiography, digital radiography, and penetrant testing.
- Supervise the qualification and certification of NDT operators as well as testing equipment.
- Lead internal audits and participate in external audits related to aeronautical standards.
- Support the industrialization of new products and contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes.
- Maintain technological watch to identify innovations that allow for improved performance, reliability, and competitiveness of the tests performed.
- Advise the production, quality, and methods teams on all issues related to NDT.
Profile:
- Higher technical education (materials, mechanics, quality, aeronautics, or equivalent).
- COSAC Level 3 certification in radiography and/or penetrant testing is imperative.
- Significant experience of at least 3 years in a similar role in a demanding industrial environment, ideally aeronautics.
- Solid knowledge of aeronautical quality standards and associated certifications (EN9100, NADCAP, etc.).
- Ability to lead, train, and support technical teams.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders.
- Good level of professional English.
