Adecco, on behalf of a partner, is seeking one (1) person to staff the following position: Transport and Fleet Manager (Heraklion, Crete) A company with a leading presence in its industry is seeking a Transport and Fleet Manager for its facilities in Heraklion, Crete. The role is a pivotal point for ensuring the smooth operation of transport and the supply chain, combining effective route planning with fleet management. The ideal candidate will undertake full supervision of daily transport operations, ensuring the timely and safe completion of routes, compliance with procedures, and effective customer service. Simultaneously, they will play an active role in the organization, guidance, and development of the team, as well as in the optimization of processes and overall operational efficiency. Job Description Planning, organization, and control of routes on a daily and monthly basis. Management and supervision of the transport department's human resources to ensure the smooth operation of receiving, collection, and transport. Ensuring the completion of daily scheduled routes within the expected timelines and conditions. Communication, customer updates, and handling of related issues. Evaluation of transport personnel (company drivers). Daily monitoring of working hours/overtime of company drivers. Providing data for payroll. Management and control of all important physical and electronic transport documents (e.g., delivery receipts, etc.). Resolution of issues regarding dispatched orders and investigation of potential failures. Ensuring compliance with legal regulations and company policies. Problem-solving with consistency and responsibility. Supervision, guidance, and training of transport personnel (company drivers). Preparation of reports to management. Required Qualifications: University/TEI Graduate Postgraduate studies or specialization in Logistics, Supply Chain will be appreciated Professional experience in the field of logistics & transport coordination Excellent knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) Knowledge of WMS system (will be evaluated as an additional qualification) Excellent knowledge of the English language (oral & written) Analytical and creative thinking, proficiency in analyzing commercial & financial data and problem-solving Ability to plan and coordinate tasks Responsibility - Problem-solving ability Team spirit and cooperation Benefits:
