Project Geologist (Base Evros)

Job Description

• Supervision of exploration drilling programs
• Geological-Geotechnical logging of drill cores
• Construction of Geological sections
• Identification and recording of historical data/analysis of data relevant to the Company's Exploration programs
• Simple geological field mapping
• Design and construction of GIS maps related to Exploration activities
• Supervision of geophysical and geochemical surveys
• Supervision of technicians assigned to a project
• Ensuring that work is carried out according to QA - QC quality control procedures and systems to ensure that Exploration programs are conducted according to corporate standards and exceed NI43-101 requirements

Required Qualifications:

• Willingness to learn
• Desire to perform geological mapping and field work to increase understanding of an area
• Understanding of magmatic-hydrothermal mineral systems, including porphyry, epithermal, and carbonatization replacement
• Basic experience in Field Exploration, including mapping, sampling, and core logging
• Understanding of sample preparation, sample analysis, and QAQC procedures applied to surface sampling
• Knowledge of ArcGIS
• Ability to present data in geology/mining software packages
• Understanding of best practices regarding Exploration, data management, reporting, health and safety
• Skill and willingness to learn
• Good written and verbal skills in English
