We are looking for a Production and Middleware Support Engineer with experience in Linux platform administration, application servers, enterprise messaging, deployment automation, and application support in production environments.
The selected person will be responsible for ensuring the stability, availability, and correct functioning of applications and technological infrastructure, participating in incident response, deployments, monitoring, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and process automation.
This opportunity is aimed at professionals with the ability to work with local and international technical teams, therefore proficiency in the English language is required.
What will you do in this role?
- Administer and provide support for servers on Linux Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8, RHEL 8.
- Manage and resolve incidents related to IBM WebSphere Application Server.
- Administer IBM HTTP Server, IHS components, including services, configurations, connectivity, and certificates.
- Manage messaging platforms with IBM MQ, including queues, channels, and queue managers.
- Execute and accompany application deployments using IBM UrbanCode Deploy, UDeploy.
- Configure, execute, and monitor continuous integration and deployment pipelines with Jenkins.
- Manage repositories, branches, versions, and collaboration processes using GitHub and Bitbucket.
- Administer and monitor batch processes and jobs via AutoSys.
- Manage file transfers using Connect: Direct.
- Participate in operational automation processes through RBA, Run Book Automation tools.
- Use corporate tools such as Lightspeed within support, administration, or deployment processes.
- Integrate security controls and component analysis through Black Duck.
- Manage credentials, privileged access, and technical accounts via CyberArk.
- Execute start, stop, and restart activities for services.
- Validate environment parameters and perform post-deployment verifications.
- Attend to incidents in production environments and execute actions to restore services.
- Perform root cause analysis on recurring or high-impact incidents.
- Apply patches, fixes, updates, and service packs following established procedures.
- Work jointly with development, infrastructure, security, database teams, and technology providers.
- Document procedures, incidents, implemented solutions, and action plans.
- Prepare technical reports and executive summaries related to incidents or service disruptions.
Indispensable requirements
- Professional in Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Software Engineering, or related careers.
- Experience in production support, middleware administration, application infrastructure, or related areas.
- Solid knowledge in Linux RHEL 8.
- Experience in administration or support of IBM WebSphere Application Server.
- Knowledge of IBM HTTP Server, IHS.
- Experience in administration, configuration, or support of IBM MQ.
- Experience with IBM UrbanCode Deploy, UDeploy.
- Handling of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins.
- Experience in version control with GitHub and Bitbucket.
- Knowledge or experience in Connect:Direct, AutoSys, RBA, Black Duck, and CyberArk.
- Experience reviewing logs, diagnosing errors, and solving technical incidents.
- Ability to work with development, testing, certification, and production environments.
- Availability to participate in support processes for critical applications, according to project needs.
English level
- Intermediate or advanced English, minimum B2.
- Ability to participate in technical conversations with international teams.
- Comprehension of documentation, procedures, tickets, manuals, and technical logs in English.
- Ability to explain incidents, progress, blockers, and technical solutions orally and in writing.
