Procurement Specialist (m/f) (M/F)

LHH Recruitment Solutions, a recruitment consulting firm specializing in temporary work, transition management, and expert, executive, and manager evaluation, is searching for its client, specialized in the field of Manufacturing of electrical distribution and control equipment and based near Chalon sur Saône, for a temporary Procurement Leader (m/f).

Reporting to the Supply Chain and placed under the responsibility of the Industrial Management Manager, you will act as the procurement referent for a strategic scope. In this capacity, you are responsible for managing complex supplier situations, providing the first level of escalation in case of failure, with the constant objective of guaranteeing a high level of customer service. In a demanding operational context, you currently manage a panel of international suppliers facing capacity constraints generating significant delays. You ensure close and proactive monitoring, particularly on critical orders, while maintaining fluid communication with all internal and external stakeholders.

Your main responsibilities.

• Supplier Management
• Manage a portfolio of suppliers
• Ensure rigorous monitoring of commitments and deliveries
• Analyze confirmed lead times and evaluate their impacts

• Contingency Management & Performance
• Identify and handle anomalies (shortages, delays, emergencies)
• Anticipate risks and implement corrective actions
• Negotiate with suppliers to secure component availability

• Coordination & Communication
• Act as the interface with international suppliers
• Alert internal stakeholders (Project Managers, planning, production) in a structured and factual manner

• Continuous Improvement & Optimization
• Contribute to continuous improvement projects according to department priorities
• Monitor and manage performance indicators (KPI), ensuring they are met
• Optimize procurement parameters (safety stocks, lot sizes, lead times)
• Identify and correct master data anomalies in connection with the relevant teams
• Propose innovative solutions to improve upstream flow management and reduce stock levels

• Higher Education: Master's in Supply Chain / Logistics or Engineering degree in industrial engineering
• At least 3 years of experience in an industrial environment, ideally in procurement or planning functions

. Key Skills.

• Mastery of information systems: SAP indispensable, advanced Excel (Power BI and/or VBA appreciated)
• Good understanding of industrial flows and factory organization
• Ability to operate in a demanding and multicultural environment
• Fluent professional English (written and oral)
• Excellent negotiation and supplier management skills
