IoT Hardware Integration Technician / Engineer

Your tasks

We are expanding our technical capabilities and looking for a hands-on IoT Hardware Integration Technician / Engineer to support the assembly, integration, testing and deployment of our smart technology solutions.

Hardware Assembly & Integration

• Assemble IoT devices and electronic components based on provided designs and specifications.
• Integrate sensors, controllers, embedded computers, communication modules and digital displays.
• Perform basic wiring, soldering, cable termination and hardware installation.
• Work with Raspberry Pi, Arduino, ESP32, industrial PCs and similar devices.
• Install and configure electronic components within customised enclosures and equipment.

System Configuration & Troubleshooting

• Install and configure Linux and Windows operating systems.
• Configure network connections, including LAN, Wi-Fi and 4G/5G routers.
• Troubleshoot hardware, connectivity and software-related issues.
• Configure IoT devices to communicate with servers, cloud platforms and software applications.
• Perform firmware updates, system testing and basic maintenance.

Prototyping & Deployment

• Assemble working prototypes based on the company’s designs and concepts.
• Test hardware functionality before deployment.
• Assist with on-site installation, commissioning and troubleshooting.
• Work closely with software developers and project teams to integrate hardware with software.
• Prepare basic technical documentation and assembly instructions.

IT Support

• Assist with computer hardware troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Support basic server configuration, system backups and network troubleshooting.
• Maintain and troubleshoot industrial PCs and digital signage media players.

Requirements

• Nitec, Higher Nitec, Diploma or Degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering, IT or related fields.
• Preferably 2–4 years of relevant hands-on experience.
• Experience with hardware assembly, wiring and electronic components.
• Familiarity with Raspberry Pi, Arduino, ESP32 or similar platforms.
• Basic knowledge of Linux, Windows and networking.
• Ability to follow technical drawings, wiring diagrams and assembly instructions.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to perform hands-on assembly and on-site technical work.
• Candidates with relevant practical experience are encouraged to apply.

Added Advantages

• Experience with digital signage systems or interactive kiosks.
• Knowledge of sensors, IoT gateways and remote monitoring.
• Familiarity with solar panels, batteries and low-voltage power systems.
• Basic Python programming or scripting knowledge.
• Experience with CCTV, IP cameras or automation systems.
• Experience with server maintenance and backup procedures.

Salary: S$3,000–S$4,500 per month, depending on experience and technical capabilities.
