Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced commercial leader to drive international expansion, primarily in Greater China and Southeast Asia. Develop market strategies, build strategic customer relationships and establish partnerships. The role will own overseas business growth, revenue targets and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
Business Strategy and Growth
- Develop and execute the company’s overseas business strategy.
- Identify priority markets, customer segments and new business opportunities.
- Define market entry plans, commercial models and annual growth targets.
- Own the overseas sales pipeline, revenue performance and P&L.
- Work closely with the CEO to align international expansion with company objectives.
Customer Acquisition and Account Development
- Build relationships with senior executives and key decision-makers at target customers.
- Lead the full sales cycle, from prospecting and solution discussions to negotiation and contract closure.
- Secure high-value contracts and develop long-term strategic accounts.
- Coordinate with internal teams to address customer requirements and deliver agreed commitments.
- Manage complex sales opportunities involving multiple stakeholders and extended decision cycles.
Partnerships and Market Development
- Establish strategic alliances with business partners and service providers.
- Develop channels that support market access and customer acquisition.
- Represent the company at industry events, customer meetings and business forums.
- Monitor market developments, competitor activity and customer needs.
- Strengthen the company’s presence and reputation across target markets.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, engineering or a related discipline.
- An MBA or relevant master’s degree would be an advantage.
- At least 10 years of progressive experience in business development, sales or commercial management.
- At least five years in a senior leadership role, preferably at Director or Vice President level.
- Proven success in growing revenue and securing major contracts in Greater China and/or Southeast Asia.
- Experience developing new markets, managing strategic accounts and building commercial partnerships.
- Strong understanding of pricing, contract negotiation, financial performance and P&L management.
- Ability to lead complex B2B sales cycles and negotiate high-value agreements.
- Willingness to travel internationally.
