Medical Screening Assistant
Your tasks
Job Responsibilities
- Collect urine specimens for drug, alcohol or other required testing.
- Conduct alcohol screening using a breathalyser, following established procedures.
- Verify the identity of individuals undergoing testing and ensure correct specimen labelling.
- Maintain accurate records and chain-of-custody documentation.
- Handle, store and transfer specimens according to standard operating procedures.
- Assist with medical record retrieval, filing, scanning and data entry.
- Coordinate with medical staff and laboratories regarding specimen processing and test results.
- Maintain confidentiality of medical records and sensitive test information.
- Follow infection-control, workplace safety and quality assurance requirements.
