Cleaning Coördinator

For a site in Lommel, we are looking for a Cleaning Coördinator who plays a key role in executing, monitoring, and adjusting the Master Cleaning Plan within production, packaging, and support departments.

Your role:

As Cleaning Coördinator, you are responsible for scheduling, coordinating, monitoring, and updating all cleaning activities performed by operators and external parties. The focus here is on our production and packaging installations, warehouses, and the silo park.

You contribute to an optimal production process by ensuring hygienically clean installations, which is crucial to avoid complaints, product loss, extra inspections, or even production downtime.

You work closely with a fixed external partner and monitor performance according to the framework contract and associated KPI’s (quality, planning, staffing, safety, etc.).

You provide functional leadership to 5 permanent cleaners who are responsible for the daily cleaning of the production area.

Your responsibilities

○ Coordinating and monitoring the execution of the Cleaning Plan, incl. major cleaning shifts during planned downtime, permanent cleaning activities, technical cleaning work, deep cleaning, and special cleanings;

○ Updating the Cleaning Plan according to changes in installations, frequencies, procedures, KPI’s, and budget;

○ Checking performed activities, including visual hygiene inspections, microbiological controls, and test kits for allergens and chemistry;

○ Ensuring compliance with safety instructions during all cleaning activities;

○ Management of cleaning materials, cleaning installations, cleaning products, and the cleaning room;

○ Organizing training sessions both theoretical and on the job;

○ Acting as the first point of contact for Operations, TD, Quality, L&D, HSE, Milieu, and external partners;

○ Reporting on progress, bottlenecks, planning, and budget status to the Quality Manager;

○ Aligning and improving working methods and procedures, drafting work instructions, and contributing to quality awareness within the organization;

○ Monitoring company requirements, audit requirements (HACCP, ISO 14001, IFS/BRC, SQMS), and customer expectations;

○ Collaborating constructively and negotiating with external partners regarding performance, safety, and planning.

Your profile

○ Professional bachelor's degree, preferably in the field of Agro and/or quality. Recent graduates are also encouraged to apply.

○ Good knowledge of critical points of attention regarding the cleanliness of installations and audit requirements;

○ Thorough knowledge of cleaning methods, detergents, and chemical products according to company, customer, and legal standards;

○ Familiar with production processes, safety instructions, and emergency procedures;

○ You maintain an overview, plan efficiently, and work autonomously;

○ You work proactively on improvements and promote quality awareness throughout the entire organization;

○ Ability to lead meetings and report clearly;

○ Able to conduct difficult conversations and defend company interests while maintaining constructive cooperation;

○ Communicating professionally during audits and contacts with suppliers;

○ General technical basic knowledge;

○ Basic knowledge of English;

○ Knowledge of Microsoft office & Scada (Citect).
