Part-time Kitchen Porter

Northampton ASAP Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, 10:00am – 3:00pm £12.71 per hour Temporary ongoing

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Porter to join our clients team and support the smooth running of the kitchen. The role will involve keeping the kitchen clean, tidy and organised, washing pots and equipment, and supporting the wider kitchen team with general duties as required.

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting with basic food preparation, including cutting, chopping and preparing ingredients.
• Helping with simple kitchen tasks as directed by the kitchen team.
• Washing pots, pans, trays, utensils and kitchen equipment.
• Keeping the kitchen, washing-up area and work surfaces clean and tidy.
• Preparing ingredients and ensuring they are ready for use.
• Ensuring equipment and utensils are cleaned and stored correctly.
• Emptying bins and maintaining a clean and hygienic working environment.
• Assisting the kitchen team with general duties when required.
• Following food hygiene, health and safety and cleaning procedures.
• Ensuring cleaning products and equipment are used safely.
• Working efficiently to ensure the kitchen has the equipment and support it needs.
• Supporting the wider team during busy periods.
• Carrying out any other reasonable kitchen duties as required.
