About the company
Acorn by Synergie is recruiting Night Shift Recycling Operatives with a valid FLT Counterbalance licence to join a recycling team at Tor Quarry.
Your tasks
This is a hands-on role involving outdoor work in all weather conditions, sorting recyclable materials and supporting general site operations. You must be comfortable working in a range of environments, including dusty or noisy areas, and be physically fit for the demands of the role.
- Correctly sorting different recyclable materials.
- Hand-picking or machine-sorting materials as required.
- Loading and unloading recycling vehicles and recording waste weights.
- Inspecting materials, identifying hazardous items and reporting any issues.
- Maintaining a tidy and safe working environment.
Requirements
- Valid FLT Counterbalance licence - essential.
- Physical fitness and the ability to stand for long periods.
- Ability to lift heavy items.
- Basic numeracy skills and the ability to follow instructions.
- Good attention to detail when identifying materials and contaminants.
- Comfort working outdoors in various weather conditions and in dusty or noisy environments.
What we offer
- £15.50 per hour.
- Night shifts from 8pm-4am.
- Sunday to Thursday working pattern.
