Must-have:PythonQA/Test

At Acodyne, you will help develop the software, high-power electronics, and robotic systems that bring our next generation of high-speed, heavy-lift cargo UAS to life, moving between code, schematics, the lab bench, and real flight hardware.

Your Role You will work closely with our CTO and engineering team on the electrical and software systems that power and control our aircraft. From firmware to high-power distribution, this is as real as engineering gets. You will: Develop and test embedded software and firmware for flight-critical and ground systems (C/C++, Python)

Design, build, and test high-power electronics such as power distribution, battery systems, and motor drives

Integrate sensors, actuators, and robotic/autonomous subsystems into the aircraft and ground equipment

Develop tools for test automation, data logging, and analysis

Bring up, debug, and validate hardware on the bench and during flight tests

Document designs, code, and test results for certification purposes

About You You enjoy writing code as much as holding an oscilloscope probe or a soldering iron. You're the type who builds things outside class and wants to take that to the next level. You likely: Are currently pursuing a degree in electrical engineering, software/computer engineering, robotics, mechatronics, or similar

Have programming experience in C/C++ and/or Python

Have a solid understanding of electronics and circuit design

Enjoy hands-on lab work, prototyping, and debugging real hardware

Are curious about UAVs, robotics, or high-performance systems

Are proactive, independent, and eager to learn fast

Nice to have: –Experience with power electronics, high-voltage systems, motor control, or battery management systems (BMS)

–Experience with embedded platforms (STM32, ARM, etc.), RTOS, or communication buses (CAN, UART, SPI, I²C)

–Exposure to ROS, PX4/ArduPilot, or control and autonomy algorithms

–PCB design experience (KiCad, Altium, etc.)

About Acodyne We are a UAS company developing heavy-lift, high-speed eVTOL UAS for defence and industrial logistics. We are currently 18 people, based at our workshop at Avedøre Airfield, and plan to double our team in the next year.

About the Internship Duration: Full-time for 5–6 months, with start in January/February 2027.

Time off: 2.08 vacation days per month + Danish public holidays.

Location: Avedøre Flyveplads, workshop-based, approximately 45 minutes by public transport from Copenhagen city center.

Compensation: DKK 6,000 per month before tax. Please note this is a contribution to living and transport. It will likely not cover full living costs. Interns are expected to supplement with grants or other funding.

Visa : Acodyne is unfortunately not able to help obtain a work visa. It is expected that the candidate has a legal right to work in Denmark.

Please note: The internship opportunity is intended for currently enrolled students who wish to gain relevant work experience as part of their studies. We particularly encourage applications from students who are able to use the internship as an integrated part of their degree programme, for example through ECTS credits, a project-based internship, or another formal study-related arrangement.
