Structures and Materials Engineer (M/F)

Missions
As a Structures and Materials Engineer, you will be the technical expert on issues regarding structural strength, material selection, and the durability of components developed by the company. You will intervene from the design phases to guarantee the robustness, reliability, and performance of the developed systems. Working closely with the mechanical, testing, simulation, and industrialization teams, you will contribute directly to the development of innovative aeronautical technology in an agile and strongly R&D-oriented environment.
Main missions and responsibilities
- Provide your structures and materials expertise to the various design teams.
- Perform sizing calculations and mechanical integrity analyses.
- Evaluate structural behaviors under static, dynamic, and thermal loads.
- Participate in material selection based on technical, industrial, and economic constraints.
- Define safety margins and validate design choices.
- Lead or contribute to finite element analyses (FEA).
- Participate in the definition and monitoring of mechanical and materials testing campaigns.
- Identify risks of fatigue, fracture, corrosion, or aging of components.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure the industrialization of parts.
- Participate in design reviews and the continuous improvement of calculation and validation methods.
Salary and other benefits
Fixed salary: €50,000 to €70,000 gross annual depending on experience

Engineering degree or Master's specialized in mechanics, materials, aeronautics, or structural engineering.
Experience
- Minimum 3 to 8 years of experience.
- Experience in structural calculation, materials, or mechanical justification.
- Experience in aeronautics, space, defense, racing automotive, or any demanding industrial environment.
Essential technical skills
- Strength of materials.
- Calculation of metallic and/or composite structures.
- Mechanical and thermomechanical analyses.
- Mastery of FEA tools (Ansys, Abaqus, Nastran, Hyperworks or equivalent).
- Knowledge of fatigue and durability phenomena.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes.
- Analysis of mechanical test data.
