Corporate Tax Senior Manager
Location: Manchester Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience Type: Permanent | Full-time A leading accountancy practice is looking for an experienced Corporate Tax Senior Manager to join its growing tax team. This is a senior role offering the opportunity to take ownership of complex corporate tax engagements, provide strategic advice to a varied client base and play a key role in the continued growth of the tax practice. You will manage important client relationships, provide technical leadership and mentor and develop members of the wider tax team. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage complex corporate tax engagements from planning through to completion. Provide high-quality corporate tax advice, compliance and planning support to a varied portfolio of clients. Act as a senior point of contact for key clients, developing strong and long-term relationships. Lead client meetings and provide commercially focused advice based on clients' individual needs. Keep up to date with changes in tax legislation and proactively advise clients on the potential impact. Work collaboratively with other service lines to deliver solutions on complex client matters. Review and oversee the quality of work produced by the wider team. Identify development needs and provide coaching, mentoring and technical support to junior team members. Delegate effectively and ensure work is delivered efficiently, accurately and within agreed timescales. Support the development and implementation of improvements. The successful candidate will have: Strong Corporate Tax experience gained within an accountancy practice. Significant experience managing complex corporate tax assignments and client relationships. Excellent technical knowledge and the ability to provide commercially focused tax advice. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Proven experience managing, coaching and developing tax professionals. The confidence to lead client meetings and communicate complex technical matters clearly. A commercial mindset with a genuine interest in developing new and existing client relationships. The ability to work collaboratively across different service lines. Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail. A proactive approach to identifying opportunities and improving processes. CTA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent qualification would be expected for this level.
