Job Summary
Lead procurement regional operations by establishing objectives, managing purchasing processes, and driving enterprise initiatives to improve efficiency, compliance, and supplier performance aligned with business priorities.
Responsibilities
- Set department objectives, operational policies, work and performance expectations aligned with business priorities
- Own and govern the end-to-end purchasing process execution to ensure compliance and effectiveness
- Implement enterprise direct material buying and manage supplier commitments to meet operational needs
- Lead and manage procurement operations through managers and supervisors, ensuring effective resource deployment and consistent purchasing activity execution
- Develop and maintain procurement governance, standard work procedures, escalation processes, and performance management across the organization
- Drive enterprise initiatives to enhance procurement execution, supplier performance, operational efficiency, compliance, automation, and data quality
- Oversee performance against key procurement metrics (PEAK) and implement improvement strategies to achieve service, cost, quality, and inventory objectives
- Maintain master data accuracy across materials, suppliers, and pricing to support procurement decisions
- Advise senior leaders on supplier risk, capacity constraints, continuity concerns, operational readiness, and procurement execution strategies to mitigate risks
- Drive talent development, succession planning, capability building, and leadership development for within the team
- Collaborate with Supply Chain, Planning, Manufacturing, Quality, Finance, Engineering, and Procurement leadership to achieve business results and objectives
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years of increasing managerial experience
- Possesses leadership experience within procurement, purchasing, supply chain, operations, or manufacturing organizations
- Proven success leading multiple teams, disciplines, or organizational functions through subordinate leaders
- Experience establishing operational objectives, governance structures, performance management systems, and continuous improvement programs
- Strong financial, analytical, and business acumen with experience managing budgets, resources, and operational tradeoffs
- Ability to influence senior leaders and drive results across multiple functional areas
- Excellent communication, organizational leadership, and change-management skills
