Data Analyst (Demand planning and Forecast)

A multinational semiconductor supplier seeks a Data Analyst to enhance demand forecasting accuracy by designing, implementing, and operating advanced analytical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and refine time-series statistical models for demand forecasting accuracy over an 18-month horizon using R and Python on Google Cloud Platform
• Automate business processes by developing machine learning models with Python
• Analyze structured and unstructured datasets to identify risks, opportunities, trends, and patterns
• Translate complex business challenges into scalable, robust, and sustainable analytical solutions using creative problem-solving and deep data expertise
• Create dashboards, reports, and visualizations with Microsoft Power BI to communicate insights and support data-driven decisions
• Present complex information effectively using data visualization techniques via Microsoft Power BI
• Continuously assess and improve forecasting methods, planning processes, and analytical tools to deliver measurable business value
• Collaborate with Supply Chain, Sales, and IT teams to drive adoption of analytical solutions and best practices

Required competencies and certifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Statistics or Mathematics with 5 years of relevant experience
• Minimum 2 years of Python programming experience
• Minimum 2 years of experience in time series forecasting, including univariate, multivariate, and ensemble modeling
• Minimum 2 years of experience with database technologies (e.g., SQL) for querying, database creation, and stored procedures
• At least 1 year of experience with Google Cloud Platform or equivalent cloud services (AWS, Microsoft Azure)
• Minimum 1 year of experience using Microsoft Power BI

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Experience with machine learning, predictive analytics, and forecasting applications in supply chain and demand planning
• Experience with SAP IBP or other advanced planning systems
