Accountant

About the company

We're currently working on the behalf of a successful construction company, seeking a new Accountant to join their team. Working closely with the Finance Director, you will be responsible for a range of finance duties including:

Your tasks

• Bank reconciliations, correcting any issues as needed
• Preparation of monthly management accounts including balance sheet, P&L, cashflow forecasting
• Undertaking VAT returns & CIS returns
• Overseeing junior finance staff who are responsible for ledgers / invoicing etc
• Assisting with year end, responding to Auditor queries as needed and assisting the FD with statutory accounts production

Requirements

This is a full-time position working in the office. Previous experience with Xero would be highly beneficial, as well as any previous experience working within a construction environment / doing CIS returns.
