Your tasks

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Housekeeping Management Trainee to join our team at Banyan Tree Dubai.

Working alongside our experienced Housekeeping leadership team, you will gain valuable exposure to daily departmental operations, quality standards, team coordination and the attention to detail that defines exceptional luxury hospitality.

Through a combination of practical experience, mentorship and structured learning, you will develop an understanding of what it takes to lead a successful Housekeeping operation.

• Gain hands-on experience across key Housekeeping functions, including guest rooms, public areas, linen and laundry operations.
• Support the Housekeeping leadership team in coordinating daily departmental activities and ensuring smooth operations.
• Learn and apply luxury hospitality cleanliness, presentation and quality standards.
• Assist with room inspections, quality checks and ensuring guest rooms meet established standards.
• Develop an understanding of team scheduling, task allocation, productivity and operational planning.
• Support the coordination of guest requests, special arrangements and personalised service experiences.
• Gain exposure to inventory management, linen control, supplies and cost-conscious operational practices.
• Learn how to manage guest feedback, resolve operational challenges and maintain high levels of guest satisfaction.
• Work collaboratively with Front Office, Engineering and other departments to ensure seamless hotel operations.
• Participate in departmental briefings, training sessions and team development activities.
• Shadow Housekeeping leaders to develop supervisory, communication and decision-making skills.
• Contribute ideas to improve operational efficiency, service quality and the overall guest experience.

Requirements

This is an exciting opportunity for hospitality graduates or students nearing completion of their studies who are looking to develop their leadership potential, gain hands-on experience in luxury hotel operations and build a strong foundation for a future management career in hospitality.

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a diploma or degree in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management or a related field.
• A genuine interest in Housekeeping operations, luxury hospitality and people leadership.
• A positive attitude, willingness to learn and enthusiasm for developing a career in hotel management.
• Good communication skills in English are essential. Proficiency in Russian, French or German would be an asset.
• Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• A team player who enjoys working in a dynamic, multicultural environment.
• A natural ability to build positive relationships, motivate others and lead by example.
• An interest in learning about operational planning, team supervision and quality management.
• Flexibility, adaptability and a willingness to gain practical experience across all areas of Housekeeping.
• Previous hospitality or Housekeeping experience is an advantage but not essential.
