Job description
We're looking for a professional and enthusiastic hostess to join our hospitality team in Baghdad, Iraq. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere while managing front-of-house operations with excellence. As a hostess, you will greet guests with genuine warmth, manage reservations efficiently, and coordinate seamlessly with our team to ensure every guest receives exceptional service and a memorable experience.
Responsibilities:
Greet guests with genuine warmth and professionalism, creating a welcoming atmosphere that reflects our organization's commitment to hospitality excellence
Manage reservation systems and optimize table assignments to maximize seating efficiency while ensuring guest satisfaction
Handle phone inquiries, manage waitlists, and coordinate guest flow throughout service periods with attention to detail
Assist guests with inquiries and concerns using empathy and problem-solving skills, resolving issues promptly and professionally
Coordinate with management, servers, and kitchen staff to ensure seamless communication and operational efficiency
Maintain accurate records of reservations, special requests, and guest preferences to enhance personalized service
Monitor and uphold cleanliness and organization standards at the host stand and entrance areas
Assist with special events, private dining arrangements, and group reservations as needed
Support team members in a collaborative manner, contributing to a positive and inclusive work environment
Qualifications:
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused mindset
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment
Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
Professional demeanor with a friendly and empathetic approach to guest interactions
High school diploma or equivalent
Fluency in English; Arabic language proficiency is highly desirable for the Baghdad location
Knowledge of hospitality industry standards and best practices
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
Strong attention to detail and ability to customize guest experiences based on individual preferences
Demonstrated ability to remain resilient and organized under pressure
