Job description
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CDP Butchery professional to join our meat processing team in Baghdad, Iraq. In this role, you will be responsible for butchering, processing, and preparing high-quality meat products while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and hygiene. You will work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, utilizing specialized equipment and techniques to deliver consistent, quality results that meet our customers' specifications and expectations.
Butcher and process meat products using industry-standard tools and techniques with precision and efficiency
Prepare meat cuts according to customer specifications and quality standards
Maintain strict food safety and hygiene protocols in compliance with local and international regulations
Operate and maintain butchery equipment, ensuring all tools are clean, sharp, and properly sanitized
Manage inventory by monitoring stock levels, rotating products using FIFO (First In, First Out) methods, and minimizing waste
Organize and maintain a clean, organized workspace that meets health and safety requirements
Perform quality control checks on all meat products before packaging and distribution
Follow proper handling and storage procedures for all meat products, particularly in cold storage environments
Collaborate with team members to meet daily production targets and deadlines
Report any equipment malfunctions or food safety concerns to management immediately
Qualifications
Proven experience in butchery, meat processing, or a related food production role
Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in meat handling
Proficiency with butchery tools, equipment, and machinery (saws, grinders, slicers, etc.)
Solid understanding of different meat grades, cuts, and processing techniques
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
Physical stamina and dexterity to perform repetitive tasks in a cold environment
Strong time management and organizational skills
Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented environment
Preferred: Food handling or food safety certification
Preferred: Experience with meat grading systems and classification standards
Preferred: Supervisory or mentoring experience in a butchery or food production setting
