Job description

Supervises and supports delivering food and refreshments to employees, ensuring high service standards and procedures with emphasis on seating and meals availability for all shifts.

Cleans and maintains equipment, tools, and fixtures using correct cleaning agents and working in a safe and hygienic manner.

Cleans and restocks service stations and all other storage places.

Is familiar with all items available to employees in relation to the employee menu and buffet items.

Sets up each table according to the needs for each service, including condiments and utilities.

Adheres to the cleaning schedule and ensures it is followed at all times.

Reports for duty on time and maintains a smart image at all times by upholding the highest standards of personal hygiene.

Is knowledgeable of all equipment in the cafeteria.

Performs any other tasks requested by the human resources team and any reasonable requests made by employees' committee members.

Is actively involved in food welfare committee meetings and contributes ideas to enhance the employee dining experience.

Attends team meetings and training sessions regularly, as and when required.

Carries out any occasional duties as requested by the employee accommodation manager, including functions such as employee welfare events and national days.

Is responsible for food control, stock taking, ordering, and quality control.

Assists the stewards in preparing cafeteria utensils used during meal and tea breaks.

Ensures that proper sanitation and hygiene are followed in dining and kitchen areas.

Is properly groomed at all times.

Provides assistance to employees in the cafeteria.

Works closely with the hygiene manager and chief steward to ensure the dining facilities meet all food safety and municipality standards.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a similar role

Strong attention to detail with a passion for hospitality

Good communication and time management skills with a friendly personality

Availability to work varied shifts including weekends and public holidays
