Your tasks
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers to provide individualised support, helping pupils engage with lessons and participate in school life.
- Provide 1:1 and small-group support tailored to pupils' needs.
- Assist teachers with classroom activities and learning tasks.
- Support pupils with communication, social interaction and independence.
- Encourage positive behaviour and classroom engagement.
- Adapt activities to help pupils access learning and achieve their goals.
Requirements
Are you passionate about helping children with additional needs reach their full potential? Are you a Psychology graduate, aspiring teacher or caring individual looking to build a career in special educational needs?
The ideal SEN Teaching Assistant will be patient, adaptable and enthusiastic about supporting children. Previous experience with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD or learning difficulties is beneficial but not essential.
This SEN Teaching Assistant role is ideal for graduates considering careers in Psychology, Education, Child Development or Speech and Language Therapy. You will gain practical experience while working alongside experienced education professionals.
