Personal Care SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Croydon Start Date: September 2026 Full-Time | Monday - Friday Age Group: 9-16 years Pay: £95 - £105 per day

Are you a compassionate Teaching Assistant or support worker with experience in SEN and personal care? Academics are working with a specialist SEN school in Croydon, seeking a dedicated Personal Care SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils aged 9-16 with ASD and complex needs. This role requires confidence providing daily personal care alongside classroom support.

We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in:

• ASD and complex needs
• Personal care (toileting, feeding, hygiene)
• SEN schools or care/support work
• Communication needs (PECS, Makaton, AAC)
• Sensory regulation and behaviour support

What we're looking for:

• Caring, patient, and reliable approach
• Confident with personal care routines
• Able to commute to Croydon on a daily basis
• Calm, consistent, and proactive mindset

Your role will include:

• Supporting pupils aged 9-16 with ASD in Croydon
• Providing dignified personal care daily
• Assisting with feeding, toileting, and hygiene
• Supporting learning and engagement in class
• Working closely with staff and external professionals
