Alternative Provision- High wycombe Community Mentor | High Wycombe | Full Time | £120-£180 per day + Fuel Allowance

Are you passionate about supporting vulnerable children and young people who are unable to access mainstream education?

Academics is recruiting on behalf of a specialist Alternative Provision based in High Wycombe for a dedicated Community Mentor to support children and young people with SEN , SEMH , anxiety, trauma and other barriers to education.

This is a rewarding outreach role supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis within homes and community settings , helping them re-engage with education, develop confidence and achieve positive outcomes.

We welcome applications from candidates with backgrounds in teaching, tutoring, mentoring, youth work, outreach, pastoral support, behaviour support or social care .

Position: Community Mentor Base Location: High Wycombe Working Area: Buckinghamshire & Berkshire Contract: Full Time | Long-Term Temporary (Potential Permanent) Hours: Monday-Friday | Term Time Pay: £120-£180 per day (dependent on experience) Benefits: Fuel Allowance

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver 1:1 educational and pastoral support in homes and community settings
  • Support pupils with SEN, SEMH, Autism, ADHD and anxiety
  • Deliver personalised learning and engagement activities
  • Build positive relationships with pupils and families
  • Monitor progress and liaise with schools and professionals

We're Looking For:

  • Experience supporting children or young people with additional needs
  • Background in teaching, tuition, mentoring, outreach, youth work, pastoral care, behaviour support or social care
  • Patient, resilient and adaptable approach
  • Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle (essential)
  • Flexibility to travel across Buckinghamshire and Berkshire
