As a Behaviour Teaching Assistant , you will provide consistent support to pupils who require additional help with emotional regulation, behaviour, communication, and engagement with learning. As a Behaviour Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include: Providing 1:1 and small group support Building positive and trusting relationships with pupils Supporting children to manage their emotions and behaviour Implementing individual behaviour and learning strategies Encouraging positive choices and classroom behaviour Helping pupils overcome barriers to learning Supporting pupils during transitions and less structured periods Creating a calm, consistent, and predictable environment Working closely with teachers and SEN staff Encouraging independence and positive social development The ideal Behaviour Teaching Assistant will have experience working with children or young people, particularly within an educational, care, youth work, or support setting. Experience supporting pupils with ASD, ADHD, SEMH, challenging behaviour, or other additional needs would be highly advantageous.
