About the position

Our client is a technology-driven company with a senior development team consisting of backend and frontend developers, DevOps, UX designers, and testers. In the role of Backend Developer, you will contribute to the further development and maintenance of the core product as well as analyze requirements for new functionality.

You will work closely with UX and frontend to translate requirements into technical specifications and robust code. The work is performed independently via Jira in agile sprints and includes daily stand-ups, code reviews, unit tests, and validation. You will also assist with customer integrations and system upgrades.

Tasks

• Perform new development and further refinement of backend services as well as the core product's functionality.
• Collaborate closely with the UX and frontend teams to define technical requirements and implement solutions.
• Assist with customer integrations by onboarding new customers to the platform's services.
• Manage and resolve assigned Jira issues, including bug fixes, system maintenance, and user stories.
• Participate in daily stand-ups, monitor the sprint board, and align on the team's priorities.
• Conduct code reviews for colleagues and ensure quality through thorough unit tests and environment validation.

We are looking for you who have:

• An engineering degree in IT (civilingenjör or högskoleingenjör) or a vocational higher education (YH).
• At least 3 years of professional experience in backend development in Java and Spring Boot.
• Experience working with databases such as MongoDB and SQL.
• Practical knowledge of Docker, Git, and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins).
• Fluent English, both spoken and written.

It is a merit if you have:

• Knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
• Experience with Kafka and AWS environments.
