You will be part of the Product Platforms department, where you will work with Axis's core technology. The team is responsible for technical platforms for cameras, based on technology from third-party suppliers, which constitutes a central part of Axis's product development.

In this role, you will work on developing and optimizing software for advanced embedded systems and implementing solutions that combine machine learning with the latest hardware technology. This enables products to perform complex analyses, such as identifying objects with high precision and efficiency. Job duties

In the role of Embedded Software Engineer, you will become an important part of Axis Communications' technical journey. Your duties may include everything from troubleshooting and optimizing performance in existing systems to implementing new features and drivers to support AI models. Your primary duties will include:

Strategic development of software platforms from initial chip startup to robust, production-ready software solutions. Technical problem-solving through advanced troubleshooting, performance optimization, and critical analysis of system challenges with high technical complexity. Cross-functional collaboration with internal development teams and external partners to ensure requirements. Writing efficient and scalable code in C and C++ on Linux-based systems.

We are looking for you who

Have a master's degree in a relevant field, such as computer science, physics, mathematics, electrical engineering, or similar.

Have knowledge of Linux as well as programming in C and C++, for example through studies or previous experience.

Speak and write English fluently.

It is meritorious if you have

Work experience in programming in C and C++.

Work experience of working in a hardware-proximate environment.

Basic Swedish, both spoken and written.

Experience in low-level programming with a focus on AI and deep learning.
