Embedded Linux Developer (Audio), Tampere

Job Description

In this role, your main responsibility will be to develop and maintain embedded software that controls intelligent audio devices, such as amplifiers and emergency communication systems. Your workday will consist primarily of C-language programming work in an Embedded Linux environment, but you will also participate in critical security work by updating device software bases and managing vulnerabilities. The work is very practical and "hands-on" in nature, as you will get to test your code directly on physical devices and ensure that the entire system works seamlessly, right down to the connections.

As part of a tight-knit and experienced expert group, you will also handle system configurations and participate diversely in various project lifecycles, where Java skills are also occasionally utilized. This is an excellent opportunity to develop into an expert in embedded systems and modern audio technology in an environment that combines high-level Finnish manufacturing expertise with global markets.

Tasks

• Coding and development of embedded software
• Configuration and maintenance of systems
• Working on test benches and troubleshooting
• Reading and understanding wiring diagrams

We are looking for

• Strong proficiency in the C programming language
• Practical work experience in embedded Linux development
• Fluent English, fluent Finnish is seen as an advantage
• Good teamwork skills
• Ability to read and understand wiring diagrams

We value it if you have

• Experience with Yocto
• SIP or Asterisk expertise
• Java skills
• Experience in signal processing
