Team Lead Quality Control

<p>For a stable and fast-growing family business within <strong>chemical production</strong>, we are looking for a Team Lead Quality Control.&nbsp;</p><p>As <strong>Team Lead Quality Control </strong>, you play a crucial role in ensuring and improving the quality processes within the organization. You build a strong quality culture and ensure that quality is anchored in the processes and way of working. In doing so, you know how to motivate, support, and lead your team in this quality-oriented approach. At the same time, you take responsibility for improvement trajectories and translate analyses and findings into concrete actions on the shop floor.</p><ul><li><strong>Developing and monitoring quality systems</strong>, whereby you oversee the correct application and registration of quality processes. You closely monitor deviations and ensure that appropriate measures are taken, always with attention to ISO standards and other relevant standards.&nbsp;</li><li><strong>Managing the QC team</strong>, you take on a role model position towards the team, you monitor absences and ensure optimal staffing within your team.&nbsp;</li><li><strong>Monitoring the quality analyses of the QC team</strong>, so that you can potentially draw up an action plan for Operations in case of non-conforming results.</li><li><strong>Handling and following up on internal and external complaints</strong>, analyzing the causes and developing and following up on corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) in collaboration with the involved departments such as Operations, R&D, etc.</li><li><strong>Management and follow-up of certificates</strong>, including updating documentation and providing DOP’s. You are also responsible for coordinating internal and external audits.</li><li><strong>Formula management</strong>, keeping formulas up-to-date in the ERP system, following up on formula changes and processing them based on the availability of raw materials.</li><li><strong>Actively contributing to continuous improvement</strong> within the lab and production processes in collaboration with R&D and Operations.</li><li>You <strong>report </strong>directly to the Operations Director.</li></ul> <![CDATA[<ul><li><strong>Master or Bachelor in a scientific field</strong> (Chemistry, Biochemistry, Environment) or equivalent through experience.</li><li>You have <strong>demonstrable experience with quality control and quality management systems, gained in a production/industrial environment</strong>.</li><li>You have an affinity with or basic knowledge of regulations regarding chemical products (storage, labeling, hazard symbols such as GHS) — or are willing to master this quickly.</li><li>Furthermore, you are a committed team leader who takes initiative, communicates clearly, and motivates your team.</li><li>You are the hands-on central figure regarding quality: you help build systems, but are equally present on the floor.</li><li>Knowledge of quality processes and analytical techniques in a laboratory environment.</li><li>Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities, with an eye for the practical feasibility of your proposals.</li><li>You are <strong>Dutch-speaking</strong> and preferably have basic knowledge of English and French.</li><li>Communicative and smooth in collaboration with different departments (Operations, R&D, HSE).</li><li>Proactive and structured working style with an eye for detail, without losing sight of the broader impact on the shop floor.&nbsp;</li><li>You are looking for a <strong>long-term commitment</strong>: this role requires time to truly let the system land and anchor within the organization.</li></ul><p><strong>Would you like more info or are you interested?</strong><br><strong>Contact Gert Van de Walle via gert.vandewalle@absolutejobs.be or 0499 88 08 69.</strong></p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>#Absolute2026</p>]]>
