Mechanical Design Engineer
<p>Our client is a <strong>machine builder</strong> ranging from components to complete machines and associated software. With production locations and teams in the US, Europe, and Asia, they have an international reach.</p><p>To expand their engineering team in Gent, they are looking for an experienced <strong>Mechanical Design Engineer</strong> with the following tasks and responsibilities:</p><ul><li>You <strong>are involved from concept to production</strong> including design and engineering, prototyping, testing and verification, tooling, documentation, QA/QC, …</li><li>You <strong>deliver mechanical designs</strong> within deadlines and interact with both suppliers as well as internal and external customers in a global environment.</li><li>You are strong in <strong>generating innovative concepts</strong> and delivering creative ideas that improve the performance and efficiency of both new and existing products.</li><li>You will actively participate in brainstorms and idea generation, modeling and demonstrating ideas and concepts.</li></ul> <ul><li>You have a <strong>master or bachelor in electromechanics, mechanics or mechanical design</strong>.</li><li>You <strong>already have a number of years of experience as a mechanical design engineer</strong> at a machine building company, but <strong>driven juniors are also eligible</strong>.</li><li>You preferably also have some knowledge and experience in technical domains such as thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, electrical engineering, FEA, ...</li><li>You take responsibility and initiative and ensure that things happen effectively.</li><li>You are passionate about technology and enthusiastic to work on innovative, high-tech solutions that shape the future.</li><li>You speak <strong>fluent English</strong> and preferably also Dutch.</li></ul><p><strong>Would you like more info or are you interested?</strong><br><strong>Contact Gert Van de Walle via gert.vandewalle@absolutejobs.be or 0499 88 08 69.</strong></p>
