Job Overview Operate excavators on construction projects, completing earthmoving and site preparation work safely and accurately. Duties

• Operate an excavator to dig, grade, trench, and move materials according to site plans and crew direction.
• Inspect equipment before use, monitor performance, and report maintenance needs; apply practical mechanical knowledge to support safe operation.
• Coordinate equipment movements with colleagues, maintain awareness of nearby workers, and follow established site safety procedures.
• Your impact: Accurate, well-coordinated excavation helps crews complete site work efficiently and safely.

Requirements

Experience Required: Practical excavator and heavy equipment operation skills, sound equipment awareness, and the ability to follow instructions, communicate with the crew, and work attentively on an active construction site. Preferred: Construction experience and familiarity with dozers, loaders, backhoes, etc...
