Field-based position; the Medical Science Liaison (MSL) establishes and maintains professional scientific relationships between Allergan and the healthcare professional community. As a member of the Canadian medical affairs team, the MSL develops and delivers educational programs on pathologies and products to improve patient outcomes and strengthen healthcare professionals' awareness and understanding regarding pathologies and therapeutic options. Job Responsibilities Establish and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), physicians affiliated with healthcare organizations, professional societies, and government representatives. Provide accurate and up-to-date scientific information that supports company strategies regarding its products and targeted therapeutic areas. Establish and maintain connections with healthcare professionals and their clinic staff. Represent Allergan at national and regional scientific meetings and professional congresses. Collaborate with the medical advisor on the development and coordination of Allergan-sponsored symposiums and speaker programs. Identify and develop opinion leaders and scientists to participate in Allergan-sponsored clinical trials, scientific symposiums, speaker programs, and advisory committees. Follow up on investigator-initiated research proposals (spontaneous research) and publication projects. Participate in the training of sales and commercial staff. Establish a field visit itinerary within the territory that effectively meets the medical information needs of the assigned geographic area. Maintain effective budgetary control of medical expenses.
