The Opportunity As the FP&A Manager, EPD APAC HQ , you will manage financial planning and analysis activities to identify risks and opportunities and contribute to the achievement of the organization's short and long-term financial goals. You will provide support to EPD business relating to financial analysis, evaluation and justification of business models, cash flow, financial planning & controls, P2W optimization, gross margin improvement, risk evaluation, licensing agreements, contracts, and return on investment. You will serve as a go-to Finance adviser and trusted business partner to ensure spends and budgets are spent wisely and sufficient controls are in place to execute according to commitments and deliver expected and outstanding results. What You’ll Do Works proactively with day-to-day finance tasks; delivers actionable analysis and insight for decision making and value creation.
Drive development and preparation of quarterly budgeting process (LBE) and annual Organic Execution Model (OEM) and underlying analysis to ensure the region has a robust plan and is able to deliver its financial commitments.
Monitor APAC financial performance against financial LBE on a weekly and monthly basis, including P&L and Cash Flow. Ensure management is advised on exposure issues.
Performs forward-looking ad-hoc analysis, such as project and strategy evaluation, benchmarking, price/volume mix, scenario analysis, etc. Actively contributes to enhancing analytical methodology.
Initiates and leads various cross functional, divisional, and country improvement projects to realize lean and efficient reporting, scenario analysis, financial planning processes, business cases, and continuous process improvements.
Manage complex, large, or difficult analysis projects, evaluate findings, prepare reports and make recommendations to senior management about the financial implications of proposed investments and transactions.
Contribute to the development of financial strategies for a division or operating unit that align with the organization's overall vision and its current and long-term business objectives.
Support special projects, strategic initiatives, and other duties as assigned by the APAC Controller and Regional Finance Director.
Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration.
More than 10 years of experience in finance/accounting functions in, prior experience in pharmaceutical industry preferred
Affiliate FP&A experience is an asset.
Thorough knowledge of US GAAP.
Excellent communication, interpersonal and influencing skills.
Working knowledge of PC word processing, spreadsheet and presentation applications.
