Service Engineer with Electrical Design Specialization

We are looking for a technically interested person who always puts the customer in focus and is good at communicating and building relationships. You have an education with a technical orientation or equivalent knowledge. If you also have experience in electrical design within the mining industry, service & maintenance, it is a merit. We would prefer if you have knowledge of ABB's drive and control systems such as Advant/Master, 800xA, AC800m, AC500, Tyrak XL, ACS800, ACS6000, CAD and E3 for electrical design. Knowledge of mine hoists is an extra merit. A driver's license is a requirement. You speak and write English without problems.

In your role, you will be responsible for managing electrical designs during reconstructions, but also for suggesting to our customers which upgrades are suitable and being able to tailor these. We often capture this during our service visits at the customer's site. This means that you will work closely with customers and become an important partner in optimizing their operation and equipment. You will have a varied everyday life where your tasks also involve conducting training, selling your knowledge and ABB's products, readiness, electrical design and programming. You will have a great deal of international contacts and get the opportunity to work both regionally and globally. UGM Service has a global responsibility within ABB for service services and commissioning for underground mines. We work with service and commissioning of mine hoists, transport equipment, ventilation control and mechanical service services. We perform upgrades on mine hoists worldwide as well as being involved in the development of new mine hoists together with our product company. Additionally, we work on projects to create new service services and products to further simplify the service for mine hoists. UGM Service & Sites today consists of 16 employees.
