Hardware Designer for Embedded Systems
You are a senior hardware developer and have a bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering or engineering physics. We would prefer you to have knowledge of IPC standards for PCB production, material declarations, the RoHS directive, as well as the Reach regulation and 3TG. You should have a strong desire to learn new things and grow together with your colleagues. Previous work has made you well-versed in the development process within electronics design for embedded systems.
To succeed in the role, you need to have good knowledge of English and the ability to be proactive both independently and as part of a team. As our new problem solver and colleague, you will be part of a cross-functional project group responsible for the design of analog and digital electronics for communication, measurement, and control. To map customer requirements and ensure that the right products are developed, we work closely with both customers and our sales companies around the world.
Together with colleagues, you will develop new products, maintain and improve existing ones, as well as offer some technical support to customers. We work with new design as well as improving existing electronics by implementing new functions or accessories. The products we work with are Mjukstartare, Kontaktorer, and Ljusbågsvakt. You will become part of Control Products in Västerås. The unit is part of the Electrification Products division and has the business idea to develop, manufacture, market, and sell the low-voltage products for which we have global responsibility within ABB. This includes, among other things, large contactors, mjukstartare, and ljusbågsvakter. We have the market's widest range of energy-efficient low-voltage devices and installation products and serve customers in all industries such as OEM, industry, distribution, wholesalers, and consultants throughout the world.
Our team is located in Västerås and consists of a total of 15 people, of whom five work with hardware design.
