Our client, ABATO from Den Bosch, is a supplier of machines, tools, and consumables for the meat processing industry, butcher shops, and especially slaughterhouses. ABATO is an internationally operating company with contacts in the UK, France, Germany, Australia, and New Zealand. Due to the growth of the organization, Werelds is looking for a Mechanical Engineer for ABATO.

Job Description

As a Mechanical Engineer, you will come into contact with numerous aspects such as machine construction, mechanics, hydraulics, many types of materials, pneumatics, vacuum technology, steam, drive technology, and PLC control technology. ABATO's product groups can be divided into hydraulic tongs, electro-simulation, trade products, stunning, slaughter hygiene, and trimming.

As a Mechanical Engineer New Product Development, you are responsible for developing new products from A to Z using Solid Works. This includes thinking about CE guidelines, creating manuals, and determining the choice of materials and material processing. Additionally, you are responsible for assembling and testing the products you have designed in the workshop. You will demonstrate these products to customers as well as installing the machines at customer sites. Furthermore, you maintain good contact with customers and suppliers both domestically and abroad. This also includes finding new suppliers and optimizing cooperation with current suppliers.

Job Requirements

You have completed an HBO/WO education in, for example, Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics and have several years of development experience in machine or apparatus construction. You are proficient with 3D and have a practical mindset.
