Structural Drafter/Designer (M/F)

About the company

Julie from the Abalone agency in Chateaubriant is looking for a M/F Drafter/Designer on SolidWorks for her client, based in Candé.

Your tasks

Within a design office, you will create all or part of equipment through digital drawings based on client specifications with the support of project managers and the design office manager, under the responsibility of the Design Office Service Manager.

Your main functions will be as follows

• Study the client's specifications and technical recommendations with technical support from the design office teams
• Create assembly and detail drawings from 3D modeling
• Participate in the production of technical documents
• Contribute to industrial safety and compliance with regulations

Your secondary functions will be as follows

• Elaborate technical proposals
• Design technical files
• Communicate with your work environment
• Participate in training, improvement points, and company development

Requirements

• Master CAD/ drafting software
• Use Computer-Aided Group Technology (CAGT) - PLM
• Use Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAM) software
• Use modeling and simulation software
• Practice technical English

• Study client needs based on specifications
• Elaborate assembly and detail drawings in compliance with specifications and technical requirements
• Perform sizing calculations for components
• Perform fine-tuning of existing solutions
• Read a plan or diagram and decode technical characteristics
• Produce project-related documentation (Drawing sets, operator manuals, diagnostic aids)
• Elaborate part lists, assembly drawings, and part detail drawings
• Ensure the transfer of the file to the production teams
