Education:

College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. or equivalent experience.

Tasks:

• Assess potential institutional, business or individual client markets.
• Calculate premiums.
• Establish client insurance coverage.
• Identify potential markets.
• Ensure appropriate forms, medical examinations and other policy requirements are completed.
• Monitor insurance claims and respond to clients' enquiries.
• Provide customer service.
• Provide information concerning group and individual insurance packages, the range of risk coverage, benefits paid and other policy features.
• Sell automobile, fire, health, life, property, marine, aircraft and other types of insurance.

Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses :

Registered Insurance Brokers of Ontario (RIBO) licence.

Insurance experience:

• Property/casualty insurance.
• Commercial insurance.
• Group insurance.

• Tenant insurance.
